Hair Help

This page is dedicated to useful links and posts on the care and treatment of African-American hair.  If you know of any other links/websites, please let us know.

The Hair Post--Lot's and lots of useful hair advice courtesy of a fellow adoptive parent.

Curls--This is where we bought Marley's first hair products.  We purchased the Peek-A-Boo Tearless Shampoo, Patty Cake Conditioner , Itsy Bitsy Spirals Baby Curl Moisturizer, and Ring Around the Curlies Leave In Cre'me.  We'll let you know what we think once we've gotten the chance to try them out on Marley.

Happy Girl Hair--A blog with a plethora of useful information and hair ideas.  Highly Recommended!

Carol's Daughter--We haven't purchased any products from here yet but have heard many, many great things about their products.  Once we've tried some, we'll let you know.

Wen Cleansing Conditioner--We just got a bottle of this a couple of days ago and are trying it out.  Seems to be our favorite so far.  Here's a short description per their website: "Wen® Cleansing Conditioner is a revolutionary new concept in hair care. A 5-in-1 formula, this one product takes the place of your shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, detangler and leave-in conditioner. It cleanses hair thoroughly but without lathering and all the harsh ingredients that may be found in ordinary shampoos—it is designed so it won't strip your hair and scalp of their natural oils. Your hair is left with sheen, moisture, manageability and better color retention."
