10 months Down!

This update is long over due but today we have officially waited 10 months and we are currently #15 on the overall wait list. Normally the courts close for two months starting the first of August but there is a rumor going around that they may not close at all this year. At this time it is only a rumor and hopefully we will hear something very soon!

We have remained busy the last two months. One of my very good friends, Robyn, is getting married in August:) so I hosted a couples shower here at my house with our other friend Kim. We had it in our back yard so Kris and I worked very hard for several weeks so it would be nice and perfect. Of course this was when we had rain daily, it was even raining an hour before the guest arrived but it all worked out and everyone had a great time! My friend Kim and her family are the most creative people I know! Her mom carved a watermelon for the food table. Kim also had a great idea to use watermelon vases for the centerpiece of the tables. They turned out great! I will post pics because you have to see them. Congrats Tim and Robyn!!

the beautiful vase, great job Kim!

the amazing watermelon!

Kris spent last weekend at Beaver lake with the guys so I had the house all to myself for 4 whole days. I got to spend lots of quality time with my sister and her children, Jenna who is 3 going on 16 and Jarrett who is almost 5 months old and a butterball. I love every ounce of him! We went to the pool on Saturday and had fun, then had dinner together and ice cream!

We managed to take in a Royals game a couple of weeks ago. We had some great seats but unfortunately it was too HOT. Needless to say, we watched 3 innings from our seats and walked to the new outfield experience at Kauffman Stadium, got some ice cream and proceeded to watch the rest of the game from underneath the score board. A big thanx to Steve & Wendy for the free tix!

Our little cousin, Miss Abby turned the big"1" in May. She is such a great little girl and Brent and Tory are so lucky to have her! Tory, made the cake and cookies, she has only made a few cakes and is already doing an amazing job. They're so tasty!

Well, that just about sums up the last couple of months. We've got several things planned for the 4th of July weekend. We are also trying to decide if we are going to take a vacation this summer, Colorado is in the lead but I really, really wish I knew when we will be going to Africa!!! Enjoy the pics!--Staci
